Description: This vintage PowerMacintosh based Music production system offers all the hardware and software needed to record and produce professional recordings suitable for CD publication. While perfect for recording of original music, this system works also extremely well for media transfers, such as when transferring form opne reel tape, vintage vinyll or similar media ot the digital realm. Professional software is included to post process audio material in the digial realm. But also Radio programers, radio commercial producers and audio arhivists will find what they are looking for.
The core of this audio system is hardware made in the USA by Digidesign and bases on ProTools hardware. The included 442 audio interface is one of the nicest quality and sweetest sounding hardware pieces digidesgn ever made. It uses European quality components and definitely compares and even stands out in sound quality, compared to equipment made today, if one compares at the same sample rate and bit resolutions @ 44.1 Khz 16 Bit - CD quality. In a few words: I bought the finest equipment available at the time and for the whole system I spend in the $15 000 range to put all of this all together. I probably could write pages and pages of detail information, but leave it at this. If interested please inquire.

Application of this system: I have recorded, editited and sequenced all sort of audio material form various sources, including direct transfers form DAT (SoundDesigner, ProTools V3.0, 3.2. 3.4, Deck, SoundEdit PRO, Audioshop - All included). I have processed and enhanced audio material (filter bundle included with SoundDesigner: ultra maximizer, Parametric EQ, for get the third). I have designed my own sounds for the Sample Cell sampler. The sample cell card can bew triggered from any controller controller that you connect to the the Studio4 and works just like a standard sampler. In adidtion you can design your own sounds and change things verry quickly.
I also have designed sounds and programs for various AKAI samplers, that I had over the years on this station (D-SoundPro and MESA inclcuded) - yes, the machine transfers directly to the sampler, even to the Roland samplers. I have created, managed, archived and restorred patches on my various synthesizers and MIDI gear (Galaxy, SoundDiver included - work flawless with the Studio4 MIDI interface; Various sysex transfer utilities etc. included as well). I have mastered and published commercial Audio CDs to red book standard (MasterlistCD, Adaptect JAM, included), I have backed up and arived all my digital files for all my projects (TOAST and DC Burner included). I have been less a MIDI recordist than recording what I played directly live to audio: but professional fully featured complex MIDI software is included: StudioVision and for quick, and dirty work TRAX). there is probably more that I can't think off right now.

Lot Description:

Hardware List: • ProTools 442 interface - allows to record up to 4 chanels simuultaniously - up to 48 Khz 16 bit - 4 ins, 4 outs - has digital in/out as well (have original boxes for the digidesign hardware, if I can find them) • Opcode Studio 4 MIDI interfcae: 8 Physical inputs and outptuts for 128 MIDI chanles • Digidesign Sample Cell Card - Hardware Sampler with 8 Outptuts - maxed out RAM • Maxed out PowerMacintosh 8100/100 Computer with Zip Drive (various upgrades over the years), CD burner included, Ethernet • External Hard Drives: 512 Mb for audio related software and Sample Cell creations, 2 GB internal Hard Drive for recording, External 4 GB Hard Drive for recording, 1 GB drive to booot form another system version - this system optimized for web/general usage versus sound recording) • External Yamaha CDR-100 CD burner • The computer monitor was made by Dell and has a standard PC connector - a quality adapter form MAC to PC is included (has switches and selection wheel, to adapt vaious screen sizes and monitors - makes almost any mointor work with this machine! In other words you don't need this particular monitor) • Various Cables adapters and connectors (shown). Inquire for further details, if needed.

Software List: (with original boxes and manuals, complete in most cases, original discs etc, parial list): ProTools 3.2 • PowerMix •SoundDesigner 2.7 • StudioVision with Galaxy • SampleCell Software • Sample Cell Sound Library: 3 Sound sample CDs • OMS • 73 floppy disks are included, of which about 2/3 are original manufacturer's disks • Other software installed on the computer (no manuals disks etc. - will leave on, so that you can evaluate if to purchase these items, if useful): For these items see paragraph "applications of this system". There is more.

Other Items included: All the original paper work that has accumulated over the years. A monitor extenson cable that woudl allow to place th emonitor far away from th ecomputer.

Condition: Excellent. All in fully working condition. There is one quirk with the computer, but if known not a problem, and all is otherwise perfect: After powering the computer off, but leaving the main power supply on the power strip on: the computer won't come back on, but if tunring the power strip off, leaving it off after using the system and tunring the power strip on before the system is power up the computer will come on every time. This is repeatable and completley reliable and has been working like that for years. To fix it (not really needed): a new power supply for the computer may be needed, but possibly could be that the internal backup battery on the motherboard needs to be replaced. This computer sold "as is" with this problem, as I have too much work load, to mess with it. Just to say it once more: the computer turns on reliably every time at the first push of the power button, when tunring the main power strip on before pressing the power button for the computer.

Shipping Note: As this is quite a bit of gear to ship, I am offering: while technically the 18" computer monitor (perfect condition) and the hardware stand (I fabricated with 2 x 4s + top and bottom plywood plates, center shelf for monitor, put together with dry wall screws) are included: Likely it is more expensive to ship these items than getting a replacement for these items at your place locally. Please tell me, if you want a shipping quote with OR without these items. Please note: The price for this system before shipping will stay the same, regardless of wanting these items or not.

Condition: Physically excellent, working condition not known - I have not tested it, thus it is going cheap, but I would expect for it to work, - even itf it would not work: a quality rackmount case such as provided by this unit sells at electronic supply stores for about $80, so $45 for this unit is a steal!

Lot: 1 DigiTech IVL 7000 Pitch Rider Guitar MIDI interface as shown above. Nothing else included - unit only, as photographed.

Price: $45.00 SOLD! as described, or $149.00 tested / working, with a power supply and an input cable provided (will have to custom make it. - If planning to use this for guitar: I don't have a pick up - I have the unit only. Get your own pick-up, or get a quote form me, on how much it will be, to add one - likely $149 for the unit, plus the price of a pick up, plus $100 to configure and adapt a standard pickup work with this unit.)

Get this unit, before someone else will! At this price I don't expect to have it for very long!
