Vintage Equipment at Wholesale prices!

1) Vaccum Tube Stereo Receiver: FISHER 500C

This was once of the finest stereo receivers available in it's time. US made quality vintage audio gear! You will find abundant information on this model on the web and likely even the schematic as a free download somewhere. This unit is complete with vintage tubes as found. No missing knobs etc. Good condition and physically all intact without any visible defects. I bought this unit from a reapir shop owner many years ago who wanted to restore it for himslef but due to his age closed shop and quit electronics all together for good. I beleive it is in great shape but never tested any of it. An anexcellent restoration project - Just never got arround to it. This unit likely will need the usual re-work for equipment of that age, such as: to re-cap (replacing all capacitors and out of tolerance componets), cleaning,, etc. This sort of thing fully restorred sells easily for 3-4 times my asking price. Vintage quality tube gear is getting scarce. Snooze and you will loose!

$275.00 NO longer availalbe at this price! I tested the unit and it fully works (still will need work, if wanting to refurbish) The unit fully works, receives even weak stations and the stereo decoder appears to work. All appears is in working order. I did not find any intermittency after cleaning switches and controls (now complete). In the amplifier section: Both channels seem balanced with nice bass and highs. The unit in it current state already sounds great. $395.00

2) Vaccum Tube Stereo Receiver: Harman Kardon "The Award Stereo Festival" Model: TA5000X

Stereo was once a big deal and much time was devoted to design and manufacturing the finest equipment possible. This Harman Kardon vintage vaccum tube receiver is a good example for it. US made quality vintage audio gear! This unit is complete with vintage tubes as found. One of the output tubes is missing, the 2 output tube next to it slightly broken / cracked, so these lost their vacuum and need to be replaced. So: get a quartet of tubes! The alluminum can capacitor between the output transfomers has a cracked base (pertinax) and is loose. All else appears perfect. No missing knobs etc. Good condition and physically all intact without any visible defects. I bought this unit from a reapir shop owner many years ago who wanted to restore this unit, to sell it but due to his age closed shop and quit electronics all together for good. I beleive it is in great shape but never tested any of it. An anexcellent restoration project - Just never got arround to it. This unit likely will need the usual re-work for equipment of that age, such as: to re-cap (replacing all capacitors and out of tolerance componets), cleaning,, etc. This sort of thing fully restorred sells easily for 4 times my asking price. 3) DC High Current Power Supply

+16V 3.5A; -16V 3.5A, 7.5V 25A (Yes, tweny five amperes!). Each section has a separate fuse and the unit has a humongous filter capacitor installed. Great for analog projects - to remind: most op-amps run on +/- up to 18V, and so you can power "hudreds" of them! Untested, but I don't have any reason to beleive that it does not work.

$15.00

4) Vintage Studio Tunrtable:
REK-O-CUT Model: N-34H

A precision instrument with a high quality precision (Eureopean?) motor, a heavey platter and a fine tone arm: REK-O-CUT "MICROPOISE" tone arm with original headshel (I believe this has a standard headshell connector, so will accept standard readily availalbe had-sheall if planning to make it exchangeable fo rdifferent cartridges.); 33 and 45 RPM, fully manual. Spins and I tend to remember, that I had ohmed out the audio connectors, but likely needs new belt and the usual re-work for equipment of that age. What always intrugued me, is it's doimensions, which should make it quite easy to modify to play 16" transcrition records (with an appropriate modification ot the pulley of course!). Unit could use a bit of cleaning and tnender loving care - Metal surfaces have oxydisation. Other than described above: in as found condiiton.

$75.00

5) Lot of 316 assorted Vaccum Tubes

This lot I bought form an retiring electronics engineer whose hobby was radio and Ham equipment. Most tubes are miniture 9 and 7 pin tubes. All of the tubes are carefully categorized by type number and a range of about 5 tpes per bag, and each bag is labelled as to what types it contains. Acording to him most tubes are used, but all tubes were tested . Count indication of how many types per bag appears somewhat inacurate, but there are a lot of tube types in this lot, making it perfect to have almost any possibly needed tube type on hand. I counted a total of 316 tubes and will sell the whole lot for $55, which is less, than a quarter per tube (around $0.18 per tube, to be exact!, which otherwise would cost between $3 and $15 each tube! WHAT A DEAL!!!!

$55.00

6) 2 OCTAVE Console Organ bass pedal board with contacts - build your own
M I D I CONTROLLER!

The contact assignment of this 2 octave bass pedal board features a clever design which will allow to serve 2 playmodes: note hold and regular play. There is a switch for each key which gets activated when the corresponding pedal is operated, but stays (!!!) down until the next pedal is pressed whose switch is then held. In addition, there is another switch that closes (opens) momentarily when any of the pedals are pressed down. The facit: build a MID controler that is switcheable between hold / sustained mode and regular play mode. Are you following? Have a continuos bass tone to keep you hands and fee free until you change to a new note, or revert back to norma play mode. Cool? This thing is amazing - originla schematic included!!! - US quality made in 1963! Probably will need some cleaning work, but was removed form a working instrument and is intact and in over all in good condition. Console organs were very expensive at the time and afforded only by those driving expensive luxory cars! This translates to: Get this part now, as it is quite difficult to find.
If you pay me for my time (and parts) I can also build the MIDI controller for you.
