SONY Betamax HiFi Stereo VCR
SONY SL-HF300 Old Scool Vintage Betamax Hi-Fi Stereo VCR: Sometimes the best things do not become the norm, but there is no question about it: Betamax delivers higher quality than VHS. And many people nostalgically appreciate that - these machines fetch today still in the $150 to $200 range for a used machine.
Condition: Here we have a fine working specimen, but unfortunately it has a couple of minor short comings, which means your opportunity to cash in. first of all it works nicely and it's video quality is astonishing: I hooked my video camera up to it and recorded onto the included betamax tape (which you can view). The quality was very close to digital (I have a DV camcorder) So: The unit is in nice working condition. But here the sad news, its' shortcomings: The cover that covers up the detail settings (front panel right side bottom - shown) is missing. When carrying the unit I bumped into something which put a crack into the outer plastic cover of the display (shown in top picture and in the small picture in the center). Then the clock display is not as bright as when it was new, but works and is readable (shown in the small picture in the center). The remote control is missing (SONY RMT-124) - lot includes the SL-HF300 unit and a beta tape only. Other than that: the unit is clean with lush coloring and in excelelnt condition. Because of the above mentioned shortcomings I am offering the unit for $85 instead of for $150 - WHAT A STEAL!
