Description: This is the original Mic amplifier /Recording / Playback and Head amplifier / electronics module of a vintage TEAC A-2050 Reel to Reel deck. Use for: a Stand Alone Vintage Mic Pre-Amplifier, A Headpnone Monitor Amplfier, A Meter Module or Meter Bridge compatible with any audio equipment! I modified this amazing piece of gear to be stand alone by adding a power supply (implemented proper grounding). All inputs and outputs are integrated in this unit: Mic ins, Line ins, Line outs, DIN in/outs, and a headphone Jack! This unit is in great working condition: I reworked all controlss of this unit and calibrated the meters. This unit was manufactured in Japan ,very likely arond 1969 and is in great working condition. Get it for Vintage Sound to interfca with your digital gear. Technical Deascription: The unit has a front panel switch that sets this unit to continued recording mode (stays set, even when the power is turned off). The incoming signal, either Mic or line level (independently selectable per chanel), gets amplfied and then fed to the line lecl output, and to the internal headphone amplifier. The level of each signal is displayed on the large scale VU meter. There are input level controls for each chanel and when a 1/4 plug is inserted at the front panel 1/4 Mic input, the line level input is switched over to the Mic input. |
Features: This unit works stand alone as: a Mic pre-amp, a headphone amp, a meter unit The unit employs late 60's solid state circuitry for truely original vintage sound of that time aera. Front Panel: Mic Inputs: L, R, Function selector: recording: left, right, stereo, playback; Input level contrls (each chanel can be adjusted separately); 2 large scale backlight precision quality VU meters, Playback EQ control,; Playback output level - can be adjusted separately per chanel, power switch, headphone jam with headphone jack. Rear Panel: Fuse holder, AC power input (added 3 prong grounded socket for standard power cables!), RCA line outputs: L, R; 5 Pin DIN in/output, RCA line input jacks: L,R Condition: Excellent physical condition, clean. No visible scratcehs etc. Tested and calibrated to be working well. I spnet more than a dya's worth of work time to complete this unit! Lot: 1 TEAC audio processor rmodule as described. Dimensions: (aprox.): 15" x 7" x 4" Price: $245.00 This price reflects the work time that went into this piece of equipment. With that you are paying for my labor and get the unit for free. Apt Holman Stereo Pre-Amplifier / Spatial Expander / To-Mono Blender and Phono Pre-Amp ![]() A stereo - imaging processor to expand or mix to mono with high grade phono inputs. Perfect to convert vinyl recordings and to exapand a console with a phono pre-amp and to add more AUX / LINE INPUTS |
Description: This is a modified version of the original Apt Holmna pre-Amplifier. The modification makes from the Stereo / Mono blend expansion circuitry and the balance control availalbe to the recording output. This allows to use the unit when looped into the recording path to proces the stereo field of a stereo signal, includignthe processing of phono signal coming from vinyl when a turn table i shooked up the the high grade phono-pre amp of this unit. A signal can be mixed continously to moeno, or expanded into spatial propperties creating a 3 diemnsionl impression of the input sound. This effect is created by the Holman pre-ampliifer by means of just analog circuitry: the left signal is substracted from the right. In practical application this allows for example to stereoize mono recordings with amazing results. I recorded some old 78 RPM records from the mid 20's and was able to bring out detail and room information not previously heared. It semeed that the unit was able to bring out hidden information projected into the stereo filed from the mono reord. If you are into recording this unit will be a swiss army knife type tool. It will expand you AUX / Line input pat with 2 phono pre-ampliifers and with 5 line level input (included 2 tape inputs that provide outputs.) Phono pre-amplifier 1 provides resistive and capaitive cartridge loading via switches on the back for optimum adaptation of the pre- amp to the cartridge. |
Features: Inputs: Phono1,2; tuner, AUX1,2; Tape 1,2 (with tape copy functions); Outputs: 2 tape outputs, 2 signal outputs, Externqal processor loop in/outs, Phono stage details: capacitive loading: 50, 100, 200, 300, 400 pf, resistive loading: 47K, 100K, infrasonic filter; 2 unswitched and 3 switched AC output jacks; Controls: Volume, Ballance, Stereo Mode (L+R, to Stereo, to L-R), bass, trebble; Switches (via front panel): tape 1, tape 2, dub 1>2, dub 2>1, external processor, stereo mode: L>R, R>L, bass mode: low shelf / Roll off, Tone defeat, high filter, mute switch, power switch. Condition: Good, works perfectly; has a few minor scratches on the top and 2 small chips off paint that have a little rust on them.
