Description: Original vintage Fisher equipment is known for rugged and heavey duty construction to last a life time and this unit is no exceptiom! Although made in Japan (earlier equipment - before the days of 8-tracks was amde in the USA) this deck is form the days of quality: This deck uses plastic very sparingly (unlike decks of later vintage). The face plate and it's elements are alluminum Here we have a fully refurbished specimen in excellent condition and very low mileage on it's heads. Vintage car collectors: make your own tapes for your vintage car! Music enthusiasts: This machine has a reliable rugged mechnaism that handles even difficult tapes well. This machine can't get any better: It appears not to have been used very much and in adidtion I replaced all electrlytic capacitors to prevent potential age related problems.

It is my pleasure to present this wonderful piece of historic audio recording equipment in perfect condition. The heads are low mileage and this recorder was reworked, now ready for decades of vintage music pleasure.

Work performed to restore this unit: I de-oxidised all controls and switches, re-lubricated mechanical parts. I re-soldered aged solder points in the electronics of this unit, to be perfect for decades of enjoyment! - This unit performes like to when it was new and is ready to peform for decades to come! This unit was thoriughly tersted and passed a full functional test. My detail oriented work took nearly 3 hours of labour and about $25 in parts. Phiscal cleaning and detail work

Description: This vintage stereo 8 Track Cartrdidge tape player was fully refurbished. While most items at other places selling as refurbished simply have a replaced belt and lubrication, I in addition replaced ALL of the aging electrolytic cpacitors in this unit to adress performance and long term reliability issues. The head of this unit has very little wear, making this a unit that comes very close in performance to when it was new. I also reworked internal contacts and switches. I re-worked the tape transport's mechanical parts.Where do you find a unit in this condiiton? If looking for a 8 Track Player that will last: This is the one! Transfer your old 8-Track tapes, listen to music that has not bene listened to in a long time. Just to mention it: 8-Track tapes can usually be found very inexpensively at thrift stores to bring back music long lost and not released on CD - A very exciting hobby - and here is the equipment ot get into it! Music on 8-Tack tapes is usually fairly high sound quality as the tape speed is higher than on a cassette deck!

Description: The Marantz PMD 430 / CP 430 is a portable 3 head stereo tape recorder which records to audio casette tapes. This unit is incresignly rare as Marantz does not manufacture it anymore.

The Microphone Pre-Amp: When I bought this unit new, I custom modified this deck: The motor can be turned off, so that the unit can be used for it's electronics only, to be used as a battery or AC powered Microphone pre-amplifier with attenuator pad (0 db, -15 db, -30 db) and with limmiter. These features come in quite handy when recording live to an audio devices with no Microphone input, such as an audio CD-Recorder. I used a large diaphragm one-point stereo condensor Mic and hooked this unit to the line input of the CD recorder for sale as offered below, to acomplish pretty amazing quality recordings. Configured with motor disabeling, this unit,also allows to be used as a high quality head-phone amplifier / monitoring device.

The tape deck: The Marantz PMD-430 is analogue recording in a portable format at it's best, when recording to audio cassette tape is the chosen format. The Marantz PMD 430 easily outperforms it's rival SONY TC-D5, as it features a 3 head design which allows recording monitoring of already recorded material, and in addition this unit features adjustable bias to allow for the truest recording frequency fidelity fo rhighest quality recording. I found also that the frequency response and signal to noise ratio of the PMD-430 was better than that of the tested D5.

Condition: Tape mechanism weak due to worn belts. Head shows signs of wear (no groves) and records and reproduces full frequency spectrum reliably. Signs of use. Exterior good. Electronically perfect.

Nakamichi DR-1 - Refurbished! They just make ''em like this anymore! Modern decks - if available at all, are built with much less expensive materials and never considered long term reliabiliy and top quality in every aspect as the priority. This tape deck, cost the amount of a moths's rent at it's time and it does not fail to live up to top standards. With features that focus on sound quality first and reliability, this deck could easily placed in the realm of professional and High end decks. This unit was in good condition to begin with, but was refurbished - now in perfectly tuned and reliably working conditon. The DR-1 features a superior tape transport with highest quality audio circuitry for the ultimate in analog cassette recordings. The transport feautres discrete 3 head design where Playback head azimuth can be adjusted via the ront pannel to compensate for ulimate playback tuning. This allows to get the best possible from any recording - the best deck to transfer vintage recordings to digital, but also the perfect deck to record with. The transport also features Dual Capstan closed loop design, to stabilize tape run for minimum tracking errors.

Condition: (Original item shown, as in any of my photos!) Excellent technical condition: low wear on the heads - perfect for recordings or to play / transfer quality materials to digital. Even high frequencies are recorded evenly stable. The deck appears to have had modest use over it's previous life. Physical exterior: nice and clean, fine scratches and only minor signs - very hard to notice. Mechanically and electronically in perfect condition as recently completely overhauled, calibrated and tested. Works perfectly! The heads are in very good condition with no visible wear. Work performed to bring you this deck in rock solid and dependable condition: mechanical testing: belts and rubber parts are good. Lubricated motor. Cleaned / de-magnetized all elements in tape path and performed complete testing and re-calibration: speed test: good; performed all head adjstments, playbak levels: good, re-calibrated recording levels and bias settings (biased for TDK tape material: metal type IV: MA-X, Chrome type II: SA-X, Normal type I: D - can calibrate to your preffered brand of tape, if mailing in tapes, plus $75). Aged solder points were resoldered. Funtional Test: 100%. Overall cosmetic condition: 9+/10. A great value!

Description: This original 1986 SONY WALKMAN (part number: Part number: 3-341-445- ) comes in it's original box, includes all the original accesories, including the owner's manual, and fully works - with low milage on the heads! Just like it's bigger brother the WM D6C or TC-D6C this unit comes in a fine metal enclosure, features somewhat similar construction and definitely is a fine piece of equipment. The unit allows to record by means of the included external plug-in power one point stereo microphpone, or form the built in radio, which features FM stereo and AM. Compact Cassettes (regular audio cassettes) are played in both directions (reverse) and there is a playback Dolby system.

Usefulness of this recorder: This unit is primarily a collectors item, unless used for listening primarily. Compared to the WM D6C, the recording quality of this model is much less sophisticated, as the D6 uses better heads and AC bias, compared to this model, which uses a permanent magnet to erase previous recordings. The microphone pre-amplifier of the D6 is much better as well. Facit: The WM-F200 is not well suitable for studio quality recordings. In recordings on this model a quality difference between the original signal and the played back signal can be noticed. It should however be fine for recording of high level sounds, such as for annotations, sketch-pad for ideas, recordings of conversations, etc. But maybe I am spoiled by having used PRO-gear all of my life. I am just mentioning this, so that you won't be disappointed.

Condition: • Electronics / Mechanical: Appears to work well and as intended - appears to no thave had much use: low mileage on the heads • Physical: Looks almost like new: only one larger scratch and few smaller scratches on the radio panel, few fine wear scratches on the battery case - very clean - amazing condition: lush colors and new appearance! Original "It's a SONY sticker on front pannel. Appears to have travelled though: uppon close inspection: there is one dent in th emetal part of the front panel, one dent on the side panel near the "Play" button and the operator lver of the AM/FM switch is missing - barely noticeable but won't allow to switch between AM/FM, unless using a needle to operate the unexposed lever part of the switch inside the case. Original packing: box shows wear, but is complete with nothing torn off. All print is well readable. Top clear plastic part of the box has scratches and one tear. This unit is a collectors item. compared to the D6C the recording quality of this unit is much less sophisticated.

Description: This is one of the first portable stereo cassette recorders that hit the market when the compact cassette took off in the late 60's! Look at the detail pictures this is quite a cool rig! Even vintage US made compact cassettes are included. Vintage analog recording at it's best! Perfect for these day's fashionable vintage "Lo-Fi" recordings but the original owenr's manual of this unit praises this deck as: "gives true high fidelity stereophonic performance. Automatic recording via external microphone or line level inputs". This lot is more than just the deck and consits of SONY carry bag, speakers, and accessories. The deck is quite vesitile as a portable stereo cassette deck as it runs on batteries, can be connected to the 12V cigarette socket in a car or can be operated on AC. As stereo in these days was not common for portable equipment this unit was also desinged to operate as a "portable" stereo with speakers".

Features: Portable Stereo cassette deck for standard compact cassettes. Records form external sources connected to the AUX inputs and has a built-in Microphone pre-amplifer for stereo MIC recordings. Amplifier section: Volume, Tone and Balance controls. External speaker connectors and one built-in speaker. Can be operated on batteries (and rechargeablwe batteries), via the included 12V car adapter, or at AC (power chord included).

The Mackie CR1604-VLZ is one of the cleanest and most vesitile mixers out there. With over 130 db in dynamic range, it's specifications warrant to be used for high resolution audio recordings to satisfy 192Khz / 24-Bit resolution analogue to digital convernsion requirements. It's design qualities and features are aimed towards the recording professional and leave other Mixers behind. In a nutshell th 1650-VLZ offers 16 input chanles with 16 (!) Microphone pre-amps, a generous 4 Bus design, which allows sub mixes, and it features 6 Aux / effects sends. Each Chanel strip offers parametric EQ.

Condition: If it was not for a few minor scratches on the bottom plate I would describe my unit as mint. When I bought it, it had a problem in the power supply that Mackie promptly repaired under warranty and the unit has been working perfectly ever since then. All and everything is working perfectly, and the unit looks new. I only used in my home recording studio.
