Description: I custom modified this beautiful analogue electronic instrument to be fully protable to professional standards: Sustain Pedal, Expression Pedal, Line output (for extranl amplification, Leslie and recording etc.), speaker output (also for apssive extranl Leslie - can supply). What sets this keyboard apart form other vintage portable organs is that it offers adjustable sustain in combination with pedal sustain. Then there is an analogue beat box and play automatic for chords, bass, etc. This instrument can also produce synthesizer like sounds, as one finds an auto-bend key, percussion repeat in conjunction with sustain and more. This insturment offers large varieties of vintage analogue sounds in combintation with analogue rhythms and play automatic (detail see below). The instrument can also be played completely manually. A bass note or a chors can be layed down in aiddition. Lots of tonal and musical possiblities - too much to go into here: If I find the time I will record a demo and place it here for download. Features: Vintage Analoge Circuitry - vintage electronics synth like sounds! Work performed to present this instument in it's current condition: I custom modified this intrument to be fully portable and added internal speakers. A lot of work was needed to fit the electronics in the framework of a portable organ. I custom modified the electronics circuitry of this instrument to provide: 1) sustain controllable by a sustain pedal, added a sustain pedal jack, a line outptut, installe da switch that allows to switch betwen internal and external speakers or to turn the speakers off; I added a speaker outrput jack, I amd ethe expression pedal detacheable and built an assembly fo rthe expression pedal. I added jacks and a switch that allows to operate this intrument with or with out an expression pedal. I completely disassembled the intrument to clean out all contacts sliders and switches, including all keyboard contacts, I re-implemented the groundign scheme for minium hum; I repaired and overhauled this instument so that hopefully it will last for decades to come. I custom modifed the framwork of thsi iinstrument so tha tthe casign can be easily removed. With the amount of work (and parts) that, went into this instument, it should sell in the $ 900 - $ 1100 range, but I decided to make it affordable - If you come to appreciate it, please feel free to donate the extra amount of money to help me retore and revive other instruments, that should be revived to provide truely unique vintage electronic sound. Condition: The unit is fully fully overhauled and was custom modified to provide professionally usable features (seee detail). All work perfectly and sound sgreat! While the intrument is perfect it's casing is not. It looks quite nice but the wood of the case is particle board that was bloated in some areas of the back (sse picture). If wanting to spend another $300- $400 I can build a new case for it. Lot: 1 Lowrey custom modified and refurbished portable organ, includes detacheable expression pedal assembly (shown), sustain pedal (shown - can be reversed to "hold" normally and "release" when pedal is pushed. A keyboard stand can be included for an andditional $30.00. Also: If wanted I can provide an external Leslie at additional cost for this intrumnet - Questions / Inquiries Price: 575.00 This is a one time opportunity to own a truely unique vintage electronics instrument, as I do not know if I would prepare another instrument like it, due to the maasive amounts of work time that had to go into it ($900 - $1100!) CASIO VL-TONE VL-1 Programmable Mini Synth ![]() Description: The Casio VL-Tone was actually the first synthesizer product Casio ever launched in the early 80's. This little guy actually has quite a bit to offer for it's price: Ultra Cheezy early digital synth sounds, the famous cheezy beatbox, sound programming features and a digital sequencer! Not to mention: It also can be used as a calculator. Features: Line output, runs on batteries, ultra portable!, 2 1/2 octave keyboard which can be switched one octave lower and one octave higher, pre-set synth sounds: Piano, Fantasy, Violin, Flute, "ADSR" - which is the programmable section: and 8-digit number is entered to control 8 parameters each can have 10 different values for thousands of sound possibilities. The built-in beatbox offers these rhythms: Marc, Waltz, 4-Beat, Swing, Rock-1, Rock-2, Bossanova, Rhumba, Beguine. The built-in sequencer holds 100 steps which then can be sequenced with adding rhythmic one key play on top of it. The synth is monophonic. Input jack for external power adapter. Condition: The unit is fully working and was recently overhauled: all the controls elements such as switches and sliders were cleaned and lubricated.Physical condition: good and clean, soem signs of use. The battery door is missing, but the batteries stay put when usign it, as the batery springs are quite strong - for an additional $45 I will custom craft a batteery door that will fit and work, but again: the unit can be used without the door and also has an input jack for external power. Description: Roland's JD-800 was the answer in response to the lack of acess to sound editing capabilities on digital synths and to re-introduce resonant filters. The JD-800 was to re-vive tweking knobs to be intuitively creative. Each function has it's own knob - a knob monster - more than 50 of them! You may consider this an analogue modeling sytnh but it's sounds are truely versitile and convincing, especially the resonant filters growl and howl like on it's purely analogue counter part! Oscillatores are based on sampled waveforms for larger variety of tones than found on classic analog synths. The JD-800 offers vast varieties of sounds characteristics due to it's 4 layer achitecture. The JD-800 produces very analog vintage sounds and brings out very complex sounds. Great Synth for sond in both worlds: Analog and Digital - almost like a swiss army knife! Sample based wave formms and convincing growly resonant filters. Fat analog ripper sounds and amzing swirly pads - There are 4 independant layers toning at once for fat sound. The 4 layers are similar to 4 parallel polyphonic analog synths, and each layer features 2 LFO's (= 8 independent LFOs if wanted or needed) for very complex sounds - perfect for pads and Athmospheres. Layed out like an analog makes it easy to be intuitive and creative. I had thsi sytnth for more than 10 years. Unfortunately life has bene too busy for music. - Now moving and need to drastically downsize - otherwise would hang onto it. At the time when bought I went though it completely, to clean out all controls and switches and the keyboard contacts. This is my personal synth used for serene space and meditation music (played gently and not "banged up" with the agressive-destructive hammering actions of rock music, nor the travel of giging). Features: 108 PCM waveforems (including basic analog synth waveforms for vintage sound!) - expandable with additional wave form card Resonant Filters to process all wave forms More than 50 knobs / slider to tweak in real time On board digital effects processor Single or Multimode - extrmemly fat sound or use multitimbral Expandable: Add Wavefore or Data Cards Much more - This is a very capable complex yet simpl eto poperate and play synth! Condition: Gently used. Fully working - Great condition. Lot: Roland JD-800 synth, original manuals, power cord. Great condition! Price: $575 in it's current condition, or $699 if I go through everything once again to clean, lubricate and de-oxydize all of it's controls once again (no apparent defects, but probably should be done again, as last done 10 years ago) Buy Contact me Top Equipment Main Music by Rising Star Home Secure and Easy Payment through Paypal. Lowrey Description: The Lowrey Model: Venus is a very cool early 70s US made (!) all-transistor organ. This instrument is a borderline sytnthesizer - does not sound much like your typical organ at all - Very unique! - dwonload below sound sample! It produces early analog syntheesizer and electronic music sounds a la Kraftwerk / Jean Michelle Jarre! Lots of switches and knobs! This unit was made by Lowery in the USA and features: auto modulated wah wah, sustain, an analog beat box, synth bass, auto bass, auto wha wha, autotmatic play features, repeat type tremolo, percussion tones, spring reverb, a 2 speed Leslie, an expression pedal, vintage transistor organ stereo sound, and built-in stereo amplification system! It also features a built-in cassette deck to record onto and to play along with for 2 track performances. Teh organ's built-in amplifiecation system is stereo. The stereo signal is available as an output for recordign etc. through the headphone jack. For the technically minded: This instrumentis quite accessible inside and modification can be easily acomplished. A few items could be added to turn this instrument into a great full blown really unique synthesizer. Features: (Overview) Vintage analog polyphonic sound, with Wah Wah filter, which can be modulated by various sources: via repeat, vibra wow (LFO), autowow (Envelope), or "percussion volume" (Envelope follower of the selected percussion tones - 4 choices availalbe: Piano, Banjo, Mandolin, Fife. There are sustain switches to adjust three sustain lengthes, and the bass pedal / base tone in auto play can be selected betwen "string bass" and "guitar bass" which sounds very synthesizer like. There is a switch to add sustain for the bass as well. Teh unit fhas a 2 speed leslie and spring reverb. The amplifiecation system of this instrument is stereo and the stereo signal is availalable as an output via the head phone jack. This signal includes reveb but no Leslie. |
Condition, Value and Shipping: The unit is fully working and was recently overhauled - about $200 of labor went into it - so In order to get paid for my time I would have to sell it in the $350 range - Due to lack of space and pressure to move it: The first $250 takes this beautiful piece of vintage analog music electronics home, provided that you come and pick it up, or will be providing for your own shipping (willing to pack for adidtional charges, for shipping see below link.). The Item is located in the USA, northern California, Paradise, Chico area, about 1.5 hours to drive from Sacramento. I have the service manual for this instrument as well - see below! Lot: 1 Lowrey LC98SKG Organ, includes it's original bench. Dimensions: (organ only, for packing add 4-6" in every direction): 45" (w) x 23" (D) x 35 1/2" (H) Estimated Weight (actual weight may vary greatly): 225 lbs. Shipping from: 95969 Download SOUNDDEMO (about 950 kB) Above demo was recorded straight from the headphone output jack without the addition of any external effects. This means: The built-in Leslie of the instrument was not recorded, which adds an even more impressive 3 dimensional sound and chorous / vibrato! Description: This Fender Rhodes 73 Suitcase Electric Piano is in nice and good working condition. It has been in my studio since th elat enineties and I repaired it completely when I bought it in the late ninetes. It's original and truly vintage and ready to be played. To mention that the speaker cabinet is empty. There are no speakers and no amplifier due to a messy mouse problem th erpevious owner experienced. The Piano includes the pre-amplifier with tone control and 2 chanel tremolo (labelled as "vibratio" which is technically incorect.). The Pre-amplifier works when powered with a ballanced +/- 15V supply, but the unit can be used without it, as the piano provides 2 1/4" jacks for the regular Rhodes output signal. If desired I fabricate a custom power supply and adapter cable at additional cost to activate the pre amplifier and to receive a tone- and volume- controlled stereo "vibrato" signal output.. Features: (All the buttons and knobs) FRONT: (left to right) Neutric 5 pin connector jack to which +/- 15 are fed - this jack also provides the 2 chanel pre amplifier output audio signal; 2 x 1/4" Accessory Outputs (the regular Rhodes audio output to feed to an amp, effects or to a mixer); Volum econtrol (affects the pre amp output, but not the Acessor output), Trebble and Bass sliders (as pre amplifier tone controls); "Vibrato" controls: "Intesity" and "Speed" - ther eis a vibrato on/off switch and a pulse indicator LED. The E-Pinao: sustain pedal (mounted in th espeker cabinet an dfeeds through - works excellently and allows hight adjustement; The 73 model Fender Rhodes E-piano has 73 keys Condition: The Piano in the inside of the cas eis in excelllent near mint condition. Th ePiano action feels tight and not worn like you wouldfind in 60's or 70's units. Some keys ar eslightly uneven, but play perfect. All notes work and sound equally loud (within specifications); As mentioned above: the speaker cabinet is empty, but clean. If you are able to get an amplifiers and speakers you can easilt restore the unit to a full "suit case" model. Case: The inside of the case (hard cover top lid) is in almost new condition. The outside of both cases has several tears in the tolex and has some scratches, but is in reasonably good condition. There is lightening in the black color due to imbeded dust and dirt. A throrough cleaning and reconditioning with a polish can remedy this easily. . |
