Power amp: 40 W RMS TUBE Power
Description: This US California made early 60's vaccum tube based mixer PA amplifier is perfect for guitar and other instrument amplifications. It features 2 independantly mixable 1/4" inputs plus 1 RCA jack as a 3rd mixable input, a 1/4" line output (feeds the output of the 3 channel tube mixer - could be used as a mic pre-amp), 1/4" speaker output and tone contol: bass control and one trebble control. This unit features true vintage tube sound with the advantage that as a PA amplifier the tone control has a greater range than the average guitar amp, which results in more brilliant highs, more detail and deeper lows. The amplifier rhas a good amount of output power, sounds great and developes high volume levels.
Electronics features (DETAIL): 4 Input - 3 independantly mixeable ("Mic 2" can be selected between 1/4" Mic / Instrument or RCA Magnetic Phono input), 1/4" Line outptut (outputs the tube mixed 3 input chanels), 1/4" 8 Ohm speaker output, screw terminal speaker output for various impedances: 4, 8, 16 Ohms, 25V and 70V (if running long lines). Output power: Estimated 40 W RMS due to 2 6L^ tubes.

Condition: Overal physical condition: good with a few spots were the paint has pealed off , or where the chassis has rusted. Overall in good and clean condition. Electronic Condition: This unit should work trouble free for decades to come, as it had been completely reworked which included to replace some capacitors and aged components, as well as a complete rework of all controlls, contacts and switchches including the tube sockets.
Work performed to restore this unit: Replaced 2 Mic input jacks with 1/4 jacks, Installed a 1/4” speakers output for 8 Ohms, Added a 1/4” Line output, (proper grounding for all in/outputs), replaced the most important capacitors, re-work of all controls, switches, and tube sockets, re-tensioned tube sockets, minor modes to open up the sound for more detail, deox of metal parts, physical cleaning and detail work, full functional test - OK, component tests to determine reliability.

Now this rig distinguished itself from other amplifers in its class by several features, which makes it very versitile:
• Cabinet and amplifer are two separate units allowing to place the cabinet away from the player.
• The cabinet is original and has a 12" vintage speaker installed for lower frequnecy response and the true vintage tone.
• The cabinet can be opned and closed to adjust the tonal qualities for personal prefference
• The amplifer provides a small 4" internal vintage speaker with alnico magnet to be used as a practisse amp, or for special recording situations.
• The amplifier has a 1/4" speaker connector jack, which allows: to operate the internal and the external speaker / cabinet simultaniously when the plug is inserted half way (monitor applications, or for more highs)
• Any cabinet can be connected to the external speaker jack for tonal prefferences in recording applications
• Circuitry implemented without electronic feedback neither in tone control, nor in the output.(Which also makes connecting of speakers with a different impedance less critical.)
Amp Physical / Operational Features: FRONT: Volume and Tone Controls (Tone control is quite sensitive with a wide range!), RAER: 2 Inputs for either 2 instruments or a Mic and an instrument; Speaker output allow to use intrnal and external speaker or to mute the internal speaker for external cabinet only. 10W output power - Quite loud! 12AU7A Cleartop Tube
Description: These clear top 12AU7A tubes were made in 1968 , likely by RCA and are branded Conn. RCA clear top tubes are one for the finest vintage 12AU7A's. These tubes are used but test as strong as new ones. As these came out a vintage piece of equipment they are dusty on one side. I could clean, but leave that up to you, as not to damage the original and perfect imprinting, which is: "CONN 12AU7A, made in USA, 68-42 274". Vintage cleartops sell online at an average price of $40 (ea.), if NOS - I am selling for $18.95 each. Tubes will be tested individually with my Hickok Transconductance tester before shipping. Matching at additional cost of $4.00 per pair. Only 32 tubes available - buy before they are gone!

Original 1952 Chicago JENSEN Vintage 12" 16 Ohm Guitar Speaker
- In original Vintage Cabinet
Description: This thing got MOJO! Made in 1952 in the USA by Bell and Howell containing one of the finest Jensen guitar speakers. It is a complete cabinet with all of the inside flockked with purple burgundy felt. The speaker was made by Jensen (Vintage Chicago Jensen!) and has a bell that covers it's huge anico magnet (shown in the center of the image)
The original numbers printed on this speaker, stamped at the round mounting ring is: 220215, which meansit was made by Jensen Chicago in the 15 th week of 1952. Other number are: C5599 23615 SH-1. This spaker carries a silver / blue label attached to the bell, which states: Bell and Howell CO., New York • Hoolywood • London, CHICAGO, Part# 23615, Impedance: 16 Ohms, Max. Input Watts 25W, B&H Made in USA.
25Watts was a considerable amount of power at the time and this is defintely a piece of high quality US made proffessional audio equipment from the good old times before corporate greed created cheap garbage!
If I get arround to it I will hand build an amp to turn this into a beatifull great sounding tube guitar amp ($1000 - $1200 range). If you want this cabinet: buy it before I get my hands onto it!
Condition: Actually quite good for a piece of pro-audio equipment of that age: No major problems, but the usual minor (and cool) signs of wear and tear. (Feel free to request larger images). At a couple of spots the flocking appears to have torn off. Overall: 7 out of 10. Speaker beautifully working - flawless, sounds great!

A precision guitar amp! - ultra clean low powered tube amplifier also good for other instruments.
Acoustic Guitar.
Description: A 12W high efficiency precision guitar amp, aimed at reproducing detail and clarity of an instrument. This was originally an amplifier module from a tube organ that I modified.
Physically I added a power chord (instead of tits weird original jack), added input and output jacks and a volume and tone control knob (equipped with chicken head knobs) (Remark: tone control was added after the photo was taken and is not shown here). A main fuse was added and a fuse holder
Electronically I pulled every capacitor possible and eliminated it or replaced it with European ones. A high capacity Power supply filter cap was added (200 uf), most of the wiring was replaced with low interference wire, Star ground was implemented. Just to mention it: Output tubes are used in triode mode and feedback loop is reduced to absolute minimum.

I also added a passive no feedback tone control which can be bypassed and taken out of the circuit by pulling the tone control knob out. The level is reduced when on, as the passive circuitry reduces the signal. Adjustment emphasizes bass and reduces highs when fully counterclockwise. It blends smoothly to emphasized highs and reduction in bass.
The Result: A nicely transparent amp, clear and present in every detail.
Features: Input jack, Volume control, tone control, active if pulled - passive and out of circuit when pushed, a switching speaker output (switches amp into standby mode when no speaker is connected. this is: Only transformer is on, heater current off, High Voltage off) 12W output power.
Tubes: 12AX7, 12AU7, 2 6AQ5, 6X4
Condition: sounds excellent as confirmed by several guitar friends of mine! Cosmetics: 9/10, A few holes where original jacks and connectors used to be.
Lot: amplifier fully tubed (all 60s tubes that came in the amp). A 50s Newcomb cabinet with 12" speaker.
